I like this. It's so complicated trying to understand gender and sex, sexuality, it's easier having a chart of sorts in front of you to actually increase the understanding you have for one's situation and surroundings.

I agree with Connor. It is very complicated to understand gender and sex, or even trying to explain it to people, and like Sydnie said it would be a lot easier for people to understand sex and gender if they seen this chart.

For the most part, I think this is a very good infographic and would be very useful for starting up conversations, or to help explain concepts, however, I don't like the scale they have for Sexual Orientation, it's too one dimensional. The scale only gives options for Straight, Gay, and Bi. Even if you assume they intended pansexuality to be grouped with bisexuality, it completely skips out on asexuality and multisexuality. Orientation is multidimensional and this seems to over simplify it. Furthermore, it would have been nice to see another scale for romantic attraction, as that may not sync up with sexual attraction.

This ethics really breaks it down for me. I think if everyone saw 'The Genderbred Person' they'd have a better understanding of where every asset of your over all gender & identity comes from. Although it doesn't cover everything, it definitely gives a better understanding for everyone.

I agree with you Syd. I never had a clear actual view of over all gender and identity but seeing this I now have a better understanding of how gender varies over different types of concepts.

I also have to agree with you Syd, i never really had a proper understanding just form taking the notes and now that i can see it in the form of a simple to understand picture it makes it easier to understand.

I personally agree with jimmy ,because I'm not one of the people ,that could be explained under the index of gay bi or straight , like jimmy said , it's too one dimensional , my sexuality and Others like me could be explained as transpansexual :) and there's no way to show that with one diagram

I agree with Syd. I never had a clear actual view of over all gender and identity but seeing this I now have a better understanding of how gender varies over different types of concepts. I always thought of "Gender" as what kind of body parts you have and not all this. I really feel more comfortable now that I have a better understanding.

I feel the ginger body give an idea of the basics for people who don't fully understand to take a better look at it. I do agree with Jimmy on how it should have I bit more into it, but just for getting people who haven't been introduced it gives them a good idea. Comments are closed.
